WINTER IS BACK

STARTING SUNDAY JANUARY 20 A PROLONGED COLD PERIOD WITH BELOW SEASONAL TEMPERATURES STICKS AROUND FOR THE REMAINDER OF WINTER IN THE CENTRAL AND EASTERN US THANKS TO THE POLAR VORTEX SPLIT.

WHILE THERE ARE NO SNOW STORMS BEING FORECAST,  SEVERAL WINTER WEATHER SYSTEMS LOOK TO IMPACT THE EASTERN US DURING THE NEXT SEVERAL WEEKS.

JANUARY 19-20 SYSTEM USHERS IN FIRST REAL COLD BLAST.  RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS SATURDAY/SATURDAY NIGHT WITH COLDER CONDITIONS AND A FLASH FREEZE LIKELY SUNDAY

MAJOR PATTERN CHANGE HAS FINALLY OCCURRED AND EXPECT THIS COLDER PATTERN TO LAST WELL INTO FEBRUARY...SNOW STORMS WILL BE DIFFICULT TO PREDICT AS THEY ALWAYS ARE YET REMAIN A POSSIBILITY.
